In terms of beauty and magnificence, few spectacles match the annual spring migration of the plastic pink flamingo. Each year these majestic birds gather by the thousands for careful packing into shipping containers. Finally, on a signal only they understand, they begin their long and exhausting journey to Austin, Texas.
This season, plastic wildlife biologists are appealing to the general public for help in ensuring the success of the migration and the Planet Cancer mission it supports. They say that this thrilling spectacle - which officially begins May 2rd at the Flamingo-a-Go-Go Planet Cancer benefit - cannot possibly be undertaken without the help of volunteers.
